'GABRIEL KAIN & THE ABLES' are new unique London four-piece comprising of eastern European singer-songwriter Gabriel Kain and three classically trained stringed urchins - Portuguese violinist Barbara Barros, Greek cellist Elektra Miliadou and pianist Andriana Minou. Gabriel Kain is no newcomer to the capital's bustling music scene - as a member of glam-rock combo 'Miss T and The Japanese Tourists' he supported Gary Numan, recorded with Gordon Raphael and enjoyed frequent air-time at John Kennedy's XFM show. The girls have all made it through the rigorous and selective training at Royal College of Music, Trinity College and Goldsmith University and have under their belts numerous critically acclaimed classical and avant-garde projects. Their sound is an extraordinary sonic collision that evokes sources of inspiration as eclectic and far apart as Johnny Cash, Johann Sebastian Bach and Balkan gypsy rock'nroll

Casino Royale continues its 10-year run on both floors of the Barfly, on 1st, 3rd (& 5th) Saturdays. Behind the decks, upstairs, with a cooler, sharper version of the club's 1998-2003 floor-filling music policy of classic guitar cuts from the 70s 'til NOW, guest DJs join the musical dots between the Stones, Smiths & Strokes. Downstairs, it's a riot of only 60s garage, northern soul, psychedelia (& even rock!) from more top name DJs. Host Victor de Milo will also be presenting the club's 'Monte Carlo-style' Roulette table at which everyone gets a free chance to win drinks! During its run, Casino Royale has been called 'clubland royalty' by Time Out and Hot Tickets said: 'One of the most enjoyable nights... fills the Barfly with a bright, fun-loving crowd studded with an unusual selection of celebs.
