“Compelling, Straylings serve up cinematic heartbreak with a side dose of opium - somewhere between Mazzy Star and Jefferson Airplane” – Artrocker Magazine.

After a summer of cabin fever, recording in hallways and basements, Straylings have now completed their debut album, with Sam Bell (R.E.M, Regina Spektor) and John O’Mahony (Metric, Alberta Cross) at the mixing desk.  They follow the success of their EP last year on PIAS gaining them praise from Steve Lamacq and legendary producer Kramer amongst others - with Entertainment On Foreign Grounds. "The missing link between Grace Slick and Bruise - and their album, nothing sahort of a future classic", said Green Man Music.

Bahraini/Austrian songwriter Dana Zeera and London born guitarist Oliver Drake formed Straylings in 2007.  Oliver arrived at her doorstep having previously toured and recorded for some years with Rough Trade signing, ‘The Veils’.  Joined by various friends in the studio and on stage, they have played to packed out venues across London, with a recently sold out show at the Barfly Camden.

'Entertainment On Foreign Grounds' is due for release on 26th March through Deadpan Records

Tickets - £5/Adv (free before 11:00 )

We're back for another edition of 21st Century Noise, with a two-floor playlist of either guitar or remix tunes released after 2001. That's ten years of some of the best songs you could be dancing to on a Saturday night!

Electric Riot

Rising from the backwater of Brixton Town, The Electric Riot disembark to deliver a fatal shot in the arm of dark disco with true grit. Like the bastard child of a drunken one night stand with Kasabian and Faithless, The 'Riot exudes a stance and sound that simply demands your attention.

Steve Harris (Xfm)

- Steve is king of Xfm's Evening Show, weeknights between 7pm and 10pm, delivering interviews with touring bands and selecting new tunes that are bubbling up. He's played some great DJ sets for us at Casino Royale and One Party State, so we've made him a resident on every 2nd Saturday!

Jeff Automatic (One Party State)
- over summer, Jeff played at Space in Ibiza and four nights with Silent Disco at Benicassim festival, plus co-hosting the dance stage at Reading Festival. As well as his other trips to European clubs, he's recently been playing in London at The Nest and Queen Of Hoxton.

Ed Wilder (Club NME)
- As well as being a resident at Koko's Club NME, a support DJ for the Killers at their recent Scala warm-up shows and the only DJ we know to have played at the top of the BT Tower, Ed has been on fire when it comes to his remixes, which you really should check out:
