In the past few years Do They Collide have gone from basic bedroom songwriting to one of the most exciting and interesting live bands around today. Bringing together reverb-soaked ambient guitars, intricate movie score-esque strings and beautiful vocal melodies without losing their distinctive "epic pop" sound.

Named after a Death Cab For Cutie lyric Do They Collide originally started out as HERESY back in 2001 with Lewis Jones (lead vocals), a veteran of the Essex music scene, creating catchy, powerful and dark sounds as a three piece. The band split in 2006 but it wasn't until the summer of 2009 whilst working in a local music store that he met Andy Pullen (keyboards) and Billy Reeve (electric guitar). After jamming repeatedly in an converted barn in the middle of nowhere with Andy's brother Mark (drums) they realised they had created a sound unique to themselves, although one thing was missing. Months went by without finding the crucial fifth member but it wasn't until a forced gig that an old work colleague Stuart Dew (bass) was called upon to session.

That rehearsal everything clicked together and Do They Collide were finally complete. After a string of local gigs word quickly spread of Do They Collide's impressive arsenal of hugely epic and powerful songs balanced with warmth from their personally tailored live shows. Since then they have supported bands all over London and headlined a few of those venues to sell out crowds along the way.

After impressing the music industry by winning the Undiscovered live music finals at the Colchester Arts Centre, fighting off over 100 other contestants and recently signing to Seven Summers records the future looks very bright for Do They Collide with a recording session at AIR studios, Itunes releases, video shoot, various radio interviews and live shows lined up for 2012.

Doors - 10:00 PM

Tickets - £3 before 11/£5 after

Casino Royale itself has spent over 13 years filling the Barfly with its mix of cool retro guitar and 60s tunes over two floors.

UPSTAIRS: DJs playing classic guitar cuts from then 'til now, joining the musical dots between the Stones, Smiths & Strokes, etc.

Cufflink Fumble [live @ 11.15pm]
- Their Indie/electro sound combines duelling guitar and linear synthy blips grounded by blitzing drums and a throbbing bass. "There are no dull moments during their set, from the fast-paced opener Pictures, the balladry of Days, to the river-dancing Love Song. It’s an amazingly complete and memorable performance and one that shows a band full of promise." said Milk magazine

Black Knight (International Hi-Fi)
- he's been the resident DJ upstairs at Casino Royale for all of its 12 years. a veteran DJ of club nights at both Camden Barfly and The Garage, He was one of the original DJs at the notorious Club X at The Astoria; and dispensed a wildly eclectic musical cocktail on the main floor of the Cigarettes and Alcohol night at the celebrated (and sadly now defunct) Wag Club in Soho.

DOWNSTAIRS: It's a riot of 60s garage, northern soul, psychedelia from:

SoRoParty (Blue Rinse)
- Blue Rinse celebrates the good, the bad and the old; the mad, the rowdy and the senile. She's appeared at the Mumford and Son/Cherbourg-founded Communion and has also DJed for the likes of Chew Lips, Damien Rice and alongside Paloma Faith, as she reaches, delves and smashes music from through the decades.

Dani Rock (Rockers & Rebels)
- from his days as a mod, showing off his Northern Soul dancefloor style at the Wag on our thursdays in the 90s, to his move towards Rockabilly and all musical genres in between, Dan is a renaissance man when it comes to DJing.

Plus, flamboyant host Victor de Milo hands out his own bank notes so that everyone can have a free go on our "Monte Carlo-style Roulette table", with the chance to win drinks!
