Serpico

Fri 17th Nov

Barfly presents

Serpico

+ Lovemat + The Foxes

Doors - 7:30 PM

/

Tickets - £6 adv

2006 was a good year for Serpico and they'll be pushing on with the momentum and experience gained from a collection of hotly received gigs and a growing appreciation from audience and industry. Those who have followed the rise will have anticipated their Barfly return from the close of their last night here in November- though their work in the studio should intensify and energise the set that earned them the request for a debut E.P.
Epic as always, balancing a pop sensibility with explorative groove-powered songwriting, they'll be kicking on with the talismanic 'A Cold Night In the City' and 'This Life...' with first time performances of newly recorded 'Telling Tales and' 'Level 9', both favourites in the making...
Come see what these guys can do with a couple of guitars and a piano.

Los Campesinos! are an band which formed in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom in 2006. The band consists of Gareth Campesinos! (vocals, glockenspiel, keyboards), Kim Campesinos! Aleksandra Campesinos! (vocals, keyboards, glockenspiel) left the band in 2009 to focus on her studies. She was replaced by Gareth’s sister Kim in September 2009. Ollie Campesinos! (drums) left the band June 2010 and was replaced a three weeks later by Jason Campesinos!, the band’s longtime road manager and merch table salesmen. Harriet Campesinos! (violin, keyboards, vocals) left the band on in September 2011 to continue her studies. Rob Campesinos!, who performs solo as Sparky Deathcap, is the official eighth (or, since Aleksandra’s departure, ninth) Campesinos! - the band compares his role in the band to the one Bob Nastanovich had in Pavement. After a year of being a semi-official member, Rob was made a full member of the band upon Ollie’s departure. The band’s name translates to “The Peasants” (or “The Farmers”) in Spanish.
