THE INCONSOLABLES
This much-loved local band represent a more innocent, if darker, age.  They play what can only be described as doo-wop-electro-punk-pop.  This is one underground act that reignites our musical fires and faith in substance over style.Their debut E.P will be released on an unsuspecting world courtesy of Jealous Tony Records, and they'll be taking us through "swirling fizzing keyboards and urgent B-52 trips to the end of the pier" (Organ).

LES OEUFS
Les Oeufs sound like accomplished musicians.  Which is probably because they are.  With a wealth of touring experience, and 4Kerrang Ks under their individual belts.  And all this whilst being young whipersnappers currently plying their craft round the venues of Brighton.  They from a range of influences they deeply understand, combining the energy of dance and indie with the passion of punk and the thoughtful lyrics of folk music.

WHITE MAN KAMIKAZE
This is a band rapidly gaining kudos far and wide.  Kicking off in New York in 2006 XM radios Bill Cates claimed they were “The best live act I have seen since the Ramones in ‘76”.  Pop Levi requested them as support for a recent show, and Mark Lamarr has recently play listed them on the Gods Kitchen show on BBC Radio 2. His on air rants on the track ‘Smile at the Widows’ have been fervent, claiming the track to be “Perfect in every way!” and in his top 20 of the year.  In October 2007 The band joined XFMs Uploaded and within a week of doing so were Featured Artists of the week.  See them here first!

Casino Royale

Casino Royale storms into Winter 2007 - on 1st & 3rd (& 5th) Saturdays - and prepares to enjoy its 9th Birthday...

Behind the decks, upstairs, with a ever-cooler, ever-sharper music policy of classic guitar cuts from the 70s ‘til NOW and joining the musical dots between the Stones, Smiths & Strokes, etc. will be DJ Black Knight (International Hi-Fi) and – for Casino Royale’s 9th Birthday on Sat 17 Nov, he’ll be joined by none other than Marky Ramone – drummer with legendary New York punk rockers The Ramones (as you’d probably guessed), who’ll be playing the final DJ set of his UK/European DJ tour...

Downstairs, it’s a riot of 60s garage, northern soul, psychedelia (& even rock!) from rotating resident DJs (Sat 17 Nov) Joseph and (Sat 03 Nov) Andy Lewis (Acid Jazz / Spearmint) and: (Sat 03 Nov) Adrián (Bullitt / Fever, Bilbao) – Adrián is resident DJ in the 60s/soul room at Bilbao’s huge, 4-room Fever club - <http://www.fever.es> - and has his own super-cool Bullitt bar in the city, where the retro tunes continue well into the next morning...

Host Victor de Milo will be directing people to have a good time... and also towards the club’s “Monte Carlo-style” roulette table at which everyone gets a free chance to win drinks!

Casino Royale has been called “clubland royalty” by Time Out and Hot Tickets said: "One of the most enjoyable nights... fills the [Barfly] with a bright, fun-loving crowd studded with an unusual selection of celebs”.
