Any Color Black

Sounding like the lovechild conceived after a night of heated passion involving Courtney Love, Foo Fighters, Pixies, Garbage, Peaches and Metallica, Any Color Black began life at 4am after Louise and Andy took a ride in a shopping trolley one very long night in Glasgow.

Playing a host of venues, both at home and abroad (including Glasgow Carling Academy, Liverpool Barfly, London’s LA2, King Tuts and Berlin’s Knaack Club) and having supported familiar names such as Soundtrack Of Our Lives, Jason Mraz and INME; they have been putting lust back into distortion with their energetic and captivating live shows. Audiences are mesmerised by Louise’s every word be it eloquently sexual or heartbreakingly fragile, as her powerful vocals emerge from a backdrop of dirty rock n roll riffs.

Making the decision to update their sound and perform as a duo Any Color Black have continued to develop their unique style of filthy rock in their own secret studio. Now emerging to share their new sound with the world they promise to leave you breathless, sweating and aching for more…

Amusement Parks On Fire
Sporadic, hedonistic, teenage genius from Nottingham.

From TV on The Radio to Secret Machines, it's pretty obvious that prog is the new punk. When it comes to summers of love, no-one wants snotty-nosed misanthropes shooting up sewage when they could have self-indulgent libertines rolling around in fabulous drugs and five-week long tunes. Indeed, so wanton is 19-year-old Michael Feerick, that it has taken him three years from writing this album to finally getting a band together to record it. Still, at least the rest of Nottingham's Amusement Parks On Fire also appreciate the finer things in life. Lick My Bloody Valentine. For this debut is not the prog of tedious old arseholes like Pink Floyd but the shimmering beauty of Kevin Shields, with a side-kick of My Vitriol, Sigur Rós and Spiritualized. Lick 'Venus In Cancer' with its crashing layers of fractured noise tissue, or 'Wiper', which sounds like the sun rising on the greatest night of your life.
