Aspen Grove are a new band from Liverpool currently going from strength to strength playing bigger and better gigs in and around the North West. They’ve been together for two years, the first year spent finding their sound and the second used this sound to raise the profile of the band. The band practice three times a week and gig at least once a week. On May 10th, Aspen Grove sold out The Zanzibar Club for their single launch party. The single (named “The Swerve”) has sold well and received rave reviews wherever it has appeared. The band won their heat of the Streetwaves competition. The prize featured slots on festivals in Bremen, Istanbul, Gdansk, Marseilles and Naples who will host Aspen Grove from now until the end of 2008. The band also received slots on The Mathew Street Festival and the Creamfields Festival as a prize for this. In July 2008, Aspen Grove won the CutOut Productions Band Royale beating 47 other bands to the £1000 prize. The band continues to perform everywhere possible using their stunning live shows to woo the audience making them fans for life. The band have been played on Juice FM and Radio Merseyside as well as an interview being showed on the Culture Channel!
